Barb Kyger has been creating whimsical and serious illustrations since she was 12 years old. She was given the opportunity in her teens to study under the late Linda Collier who taught her how to use the mediums. In 1982, she taught herself how to see life a little differently and began to cartoon.

After 18 years of typesetting and desktop publishing experience in the aerospace industry, Barb decided to do what friends and colleagues had been telling her to do for years - "go into business for yourself and sell your work." She did... from her love for creating cartoons came the birth of barbCARDS.
