March 6, 2007 - Just signed up with coRank.com and, in my profile, pointed to this page as my blog. You can see that I'm not a regular contributer, but there are some things I'm interested in that you may also be interested in, the limited audience that you are. How'd you like to hear about the programming machinations of turning this site into a true blog, interactive through the utilization of MySQL and PHP? I could take you through the steps as I learn them myself. |

October 1, 2004 - Don't let anyone tell you that the Apple iTunes application has an intuitive interface; that's simply bush. I won an iPod at an Adobe conference back in July: It was an early morning demonstration of Adobe's latest Acrobat products. When I saw the grand prize, a 15GB iPod, the feeling that I was going to win ... |

November 28, 2003 - I was pleasently surprised to see that a search in Google for silicon valley blogs placed one of my ZapMap pages second out of 42,200, just after Silicon Valley for Howard Dean and ahead of Dan Gillmor's Journal. This blogging phenomenon is certainly one to take note of AND PARTICIPATE in. First, find one subject that I'm comfortable writing about (?) which is also one you'd find interesting to read (?). Make it short and sweet or go on and on, your choice. There's also no obligation to read everything or even reply (apparently). Hardly any of the email I send to people who don't recognize my name gets replied to. I don't care; it's a numbers game. A lot of thought goes into ways of improving the odds, however, which I think comes best from following successful examples, the finding of which is another numbers game. |

September 20, 2003 - I attended my first meeting of Aerodrome HQ. A group of about 20 ultralight student pilots and instructors gather at the Wings of History Museum every third Saturday. This month we elected a new president ... |

July 12, 2003 - Riding home from Campbell last night was a peak experience. If both bike tires didn't lock up and the car speed up in front of and past me, then I would be dead or in the hospital right now... |

August 17, 1993 - I just finished serving on a jury. It was an educational experience I won't forget. Never again will I presume to understand how my fellow human beings think. Here are the facts ... |
