LEAP24 has installed 4 new Ultra-rapid chargers minutes from Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3, making it the only charging network with Ultra-rapid locations within 7 minutes from both Heathrow and London City Airport.
Located at 60 New Road, Harlington, UB3 5BQ, the new chargers are open to the public 24 hours a day, but LEAP24 anticipates they will be of great benefit to local taxi and private-hire drivers also. The new chargers have been launched with this in mind, with the site offering four 200kW chargers to get batteries topped up and drivers back on the road quickly.
The opening builds on LEAP24’s focus on supporting London’s taxi and private-hire industry, with a growing network across the capital designed to put fast, competitively priced charging closer to the journeys these drivers make every day.
LEAP24 has also worked directly with Uber to have the site added to its Heathrow waiting area, helping drivers using the platform fit charging more naturally into their working day.
There are no site access restrictions or parking fees at the location, so drivers needn't worry about additional costs on top of paying for their charging sessions.
