Arnold Clark Charge has expanded its public charging network with the launch of six ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) chargers at its Wolverhampton Motorstore – marking its 60th charging site across the UK.

Located at Pantheon Park, Wednesfield Way, the ultra-rapid chargers are part of the group’s ongoing investment in EV infrastructure, designed to make charging more accessible, affordable and convenient for drivers nationwide.

Drivers using the charging hub will get ultra-rapid charging rates at 55p per kWh – lower than the current UK average of 76p per kWh based on Zapmap data.

Payment can be made directly in the Zapmap app, or with the Zapmap charging card.

In addition to fast and affordable charging, customers can get a free coffee in the branch while their vehicle charges.

Arnold Clark Charge’s growth and customer-focused approach were recently recognised at the Zapmap 2025 Awards, where the network was named ‘Up-and-Coming Rapid/Ultra-rapid EV Charging Network’.

Pablo Levi, group sustainability manager at Arnold Clark, said:

"The opening of our Wolverhampton site is a proud milestone for Arnold Clark Charge as it becomes our 60th location across the UK.

“Our aim is to make EV charging straightforward, cost-effective and widely accessible, whether customers are driving locally or travelling further afield.

“By investing in ultra-rapid charging at important locations like this, we’re supporting the shift to electric vehicles while delivering tangible benefits for drivers and local communities.”
