Moto CHARGE has officially launched at Tamworth services on the M42, expanding the growing network of ultra-rapid EV chargers across UK motorways.
The Super Hub at Tamworth services is Moto’s third launch of their own charge point operator (CPO) brand, Moto CHARGE, which has already launched at two previous locations earlier in the year at both Toddington North Services and Reading East Services.
This latest EV installation adds 12 new Ultra-rapid EV chargers capable of delivering up to 400kW, which can be accessed directly in the Zapmap app, where live status and availability information is available 24 hours a day. And paying for your charge with Moto CHARGE is simple, whether in the app or with the tap of the Zapmap charging card.
Together with 24 new GRIDSERVE Ultra-rapid chargers that opened earlier this week, and 8 dedicated bays for electric HGVs and other extra-large electric vehicles such as vans and towed caravans, Moto Tamworth now offers 44 ultra-rapid chargers, propelling it into one of the larger EV charging hubs on the UK motorway network.
Only 1 week ago, Moto Tamworth had no dedicated ultra-rapid charging infrastructure.
Now it has skyrocketed into the Top 5 of Moto’s largest charging destinations on the UK motorway, providing drivers with greater choice, increase reliability and significantly more capacity from launch compared to previous installations.
Whilst you charge, the amenity building hosts a selection of brands including M&S, Costa Coffee, Burger King, Greggs, WHSmith, KFC and Pret giving you plenty of choice and options to grab a snack, coffee or even a sit-down meal to make the most out of your dwell time.
