bp pulse has just opened a new electric vehicle (EV) charging and convenience hub at Tingley Roundabout in West Yorkshire, bringing a new Starbucks café and Ultra-rapid EV charging to the local area.
The site sits on Dewsbury Road between the M62 and M1, one of the North's busiest transport gateways, with chargers open 24 hours a day. It offers a new place for local residents, commuters and those travelling through the area to stop, recharge and grab a coffee.
The new hub features 19 Ultra-rapid bp pulse chargers, including nine 300kW chargers, It also hosts bp's first pull-through charging bay, designed for larger vehicles, trailers and caravans, plus dedicated accessible bays.
Councillor Noel Bullock, Mayor of Morley, officially opened the site on the 31st July with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by local stakeholders, industry representatives and partners, including NG Bailey and Starbucks, operated by The Magic Bean Co.
Alongside the new Starbucks, additional amenities include cycle parking, accessible parking spaces, and water and vacuum facilities, creating a welcoming environment for both local residents and travellers passing through the area.
EV drivers can find bp pulse chargers by using the Zapmap app, where live status and availability information for every one of its charger is shared 24 hours a day.
