Hounslow Council has appointed Zest to deliver a new network of rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the borough.

The contract is one part of the Council’s plan to install over 2,000 new charge points, creating one of London’s most convenient and future-ready EV networks. The entire fast and rapid charge point rollout is fully funded by the charge point operators, ensuring value for money for Hounslow residents.

The new partnership with Zest will see a large expansion of Hounslow’s existing rapid charging network with over 100 rapid spaces identified to be installed in key locations. This will make it easier than ever for residents, visitors and local businesses to charge their vehicles quickly and conveniently.

All of Zest's charge points can be found by using the Zapmap app or web map, simply filter by network and search for Zest, and you'll find 24/7 live status and availability for every charge point, as well as user reviews and pricing information.

Each Zest charge point will feature the latest technology, high-speed charging capability, contactless and app-based payment options and 24/7 customer support to ensure a reliable and seamless user experience.

Councillor Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Climate, Environment and Transport, said:

“Expanding our EV network is a key part of building a cleaner, greener borough. By working with industry partners, we’re ensuring residents have convenient, reliable and affordable options for charging close to home and across Hounslow.”

Robin Heap, Chief Executive Officer at Zest, said:

“These high-quality amenities enable residents, visitors and local businesses to charge their vehicles quickly and conveniently, making it easier to switch to EV and revitalising local communities. Hounslow Council is backing its ambitious strategy with bold action, and we are proud they chose to work with Zest.”

Residents will have the opportunity to share their views on the proposed locations and help shape the network during the upcoming consultation, which will follow technical and site survey. Click here for updates.
