InstaVolt

An overview of the InstaVolt charging network.

InstaVolt

InstaVolt is a charging network offering Destination, and En-route charging. As of the end of February 2026 InstaVolt had a total of 2,254 EV chargers across the UK.

With strategic partnerships with the likes of McDonalds, Booths, Co-op and Costa, InstaVolt’s rapid and ultra-rapid charge points can be found primarily in retail spaces, as well as along main arterial routes and motorway service stations. InstaVolt’s largest location is its Winchester superhub which has 44 charging bays, powered by renewable energy through a combination of on-site generation and grid supply.
Furthering its commitment to grid-independent resilience, InstaVolt recently completed the UK’s first motorway battery-storage installation at Welcome Break Corley Services (M6). Now fully operational on both the Northbound and Southbound sides, these large-scale batteries link directly to the chargers to ensure consistent ultra-rapid performance during peak travel periods without straining the local grid.
InstaVolt has been awarded a Zapmap ‘EV driver recommended 2026’ award in the ‘Large rapid / ultra-rapid’ network category of its annual network rankings.
