Drivers in Peterborough have a new place to plug in. InstaVolt's latest charging hub is now open at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre in Hampton, bringing 16 ultra-rapid chargers to the area, available 24/7.
Conveniently located close to Junction 17 of the A1, the new site is ideally placed for local drivers, commuters and those travelling through the area. With easy access from a major road and plenty of shops, food and amenities nearby, drivers can make the most of their time while charging.
The new hub includes four fully accessible charging bays, providing additional space for drivers who need it. The site also features four dual-connector chargers offering both CCS and CHAdeMO connections, catering to a wider range of electric vehicles. With CCTV on site and all 16 chargers powered by 100% renewable energy, the location is another step towards making EV charging simpler and more accessible.
Drivers can access the new chargers directly in the Zapmap app, where connecting and payment can be made with just a couple of clicks - choose your charger and connector and hit the pay button, it's that simple! And, you can pay for charging with just a tap of our RFID card, the Zapmap charging card, available to order in the app now.
Serpentine Green Shopping Centre offers plenty to do while you charge, with a wide range of food, drink and shopping options including Costa Coffee, McDonald’s, Tesco Extra, M&S Foodhall, H&M, Next and more.
The opening of Serpentine Green marks another step in InstaVolt's continued investment in building a reliable, accessible and convenient ultra-rapid charging network across the UK.
