InstaVolt has announced it has agreed terms on its 3,000th charger, marking a major milestone in its mission to deliver reliable and accessible charging across the UK and beyond.

The 3,000th charger will be installed as part of an expansion at Booths Knutsford, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary. The expansion will see the location go from three to six chargers and include brand-new battery storage. The newly upgraded site is set to open in early 2026.

This milestone demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding its network of ultra-rapid chargers to meet growing consumer demand and support the UK’s transition to electric vehicles.

Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, said:

“Agreeing our 3,000th charger is a landmark achievement and testament to the strength of our partnerships, the dedication of our team and the clear demand for reliable EV infrastructure.

“It’s also great to see that will be continuing to roll out our innovative battery storage model at this site, helping to reduce strain on the national grid and ensuring stable charging speeds.

“Every lease signed brings us one step closer to our goal of delivering 11,000 rapid chargers across the UK and Ireland by 2030, helping to make EV driving more accessible, convenient and sustainable for everyone.

“Now, with the deployment of battery storage rolling out across all our sites, it’s exciting to see Knutsford among the first on the list. It’s another example of InstaVolt leading the way with industry-first innovations.”

InstaVolt’s charge points can be found via the Zapmap app, where live status and availability information is shared 24/7, as well as user reviews and accurate pricing.

Each InstaVolt site is powered by 100% renewable energy and strategically located to ensure drivers can easily access charging while visiting popular destinations such as farm shops, retail parks, gyms and hotels.

Delvin added:

“From our first site in Devon back in 2017, to our 3,000th and beyond, our mission and purpose remain the same – public EV charging which is accessible, easy to use and convenient”.
